Sleep regression happens when a toddler who has been sleeping well suddenly changes the sleeping pattern. The toddler starts waking up at night several times than he or she has been doing, or refuses to sleep entirely and take longer to fall asleep. Mostly, sleep regression occurs at age 3 or 4 months, age 9 or past one and a half years. What causes sleep 4 month sleep regression and how can a mother ease the situation?
At 4 to 6 month old, the toddler has started to notice things and people around her. The baby may get fascinated and in the mood for plays and laughs during the day, taking most of his nap time. The toddler sleeps late hours, since the sleeping schedule was interfered with.
If it is watching cartoons or sitting with adults to play, the same can be scheduled in a manner that it will not interfere with toddlers napping time. Have a bath and massage before sleeping so that the toddler can relax and sleep well.

Change of weather can also cause sleep regression especially to toddlers who are not used to travelling. The weather change makes the toddler not to sleep well at night, and hardly naps during the day.
